32 Things I’ve Learned in my 32 Years

This week marks my 32nd year and I have to say, so far my 30s are freaking amazing.  I don’t think you could pay me to go back to my 20s…I’m just having too much fun 🙂  Here’s a short, fun list of 32 things I’ve learned in my 32 years (and most I’m still working on):

1.Learn to be by yourself and how to be happy by yourself. This makes all relationships (family, romantic, friendships) SO much easier and better.
2.Walking is good for my mind, body & soul.
3.So is lifting.
4.Wear clothes you like (bodysuits FTW).
5.Having a pet will save your soul <3.
6.Respect your body- inside and out. It’s the only one you’re gonna get.
7.Let go of expectations and let the chips fall as they may. You can handle it.
8.Do what makes you happy even if (or especially if) it’s not what people “usually” do.
9.Remember that what people think of you is none of your business.
10.You don’t have to “accept your flaws” but you also don’t have to hate them..
11.In fact, you can decide that you don’t even have flaws. Who even decided belly rolls stretch marks were flaws, anyway?
12.Surround yourself with people who make you laugh every day.
13.Fall in love, head over heels, even if it’s risky. You’ll either love or you’ll learn or, if you’re really fortunate, you’ll get both.
14.”Feel the fear and do it anyway.”
15.Learn to be calm in silence (put your phone down, turn off the TV, turn off the radio) and just be.
16.Ask for what you want and what you deserve.
17.A note to my ladies- some might perceive #16 as “bossy” or “bitchy” but it’s not and if you get pushback, that’s a good thing. Break the mold and change the stereotype #girlpower.
18.Learn to really listen.
19.And don’t offer advice unless it’s asked for.
20.Get uncomfortable often. The more you do, the easier it will get.
21.Drop grudges- you’re only hurting yourself by holding onto them.
22.Say no to things you don’t actually want to do even if you feel like you “should” say yes.
23.Say yes to everything that excites you.
24.Don’t be afraid of money. It’s fun to have, OK to have and gives you a whole lot more freedom.
25.Adopt a mindset of abundance over scarcity.
26.Eat foods that satisfy you both physically and mentally
27. Move your body in a way that feels good for you.
28. Remember that you don’t have to run, you don’t have to go to the gym, you actually  GET to if you want to.
29. Assume the best in people and give them the benefit of the doubt.
30. Trust people until they actually you a reason not to- which they might never do.
31. Sleep as much as you can because nothing feels better than waking up and feeling like a rockstar
32. Be your own person. Forget what “society” says. Be an individual, make choices that feel good for you and that make you the happiest you possible.

That should do it!  Here’s to another year of lessons, love and success!!  Thanks for joining me on the journey!
